The Economics research group deals with the study of the wine market, and especially that of sparkling wines and the various Prosecco appellations. Since 2003 it has edited the annual report on Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG.
Research activity is focused on aspects related to the evaluation of sustainable solutions in viticulture and oenology (rootstocks, tolerant varieties) with reference to both producers and consumers, the importance of collective brands and the identification of marketing strategies for the valorisation of local wines, as well as wine tourism.
